it is that simple unless you want to put bigger globes in then you have to upgrade the wireing or risk melting the wires

All I've done is install a set of cheapie after-market H4 Headlights from Super-Cheap with 55/100w globes & that gives a very good result.

Recommend you upgrade headlight wiring and put some decent lights not el cheapo chinese things. Do it once do it properly.

Cheers

I don't recommend those crystal type lights on ebay. I had 90/100 bulbs in them and the heat from the bulbs has turned the reflectors dull and milky. :( Might be OK with 60/55 bulbs or HID inserts, which I've got and am about to fit into some decent headlights.

G'day,

Running 90/130W headlights and two 100W spot's and I as the song goes "I can see for miles and miles" ... well, a good 200 metres anyway.

Headlight bulbs are 12 Volt 90/130W H4 Narva's from Supercheap ($8.00) and Spots are 12 Volt 100W H3's.

If you upgrade to 90/130's I recommend that you change the wiring so they are the same as spotties (seperate supply via relay's) and not use the existing vehicle loom as you are more than doubling the current.

G'day, Narva and Hella sell upgrades. Have a look on their websites. I'm sure you could get them from any car parts / car accessory shop. I'd reckon it's a good conversion to do.

I put in the Hella H4s in mine. They are great in high beam but are very poor on low beam.

Not arguing, but it depends on what you call "properly". The no-names I bought were 1/3 the price of a Narva set but easily put out twice the light of the crappy (Japanese) standard "sealed" H4s. To the point that the rectangular (German) Narva 100w Driving Lights I have don't actually add anything to the range (about 400/500 metres) but they do add to the "brightness". Horses for courses, but given that these headlights were a straight scew-in/plug-in job without stuffing around with relays or the wiring, I'm very happy, especially as I do a 30-minute country road, 'roo territory drive into work at 5:00 am every week-day.;)
