Hi Guys,

I have just acquired a MQ/MK square headlights, 5 speed fitted with a P40 motor thats on LPG/Petrol.

I was told today that I may be able to fit a electronic dizzy to it, this is where I need help, if it is possible what dizzy do I use as a replacement, will a later model GQ dizzy fit in.

One thing Ive foud out is that P40 parts are not easy to find especially in Sydney, I suppose that only 800 of these motor being bought into Australia part would be very rare.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction, this is a great site.

unfortunatly i think u may have great amounts of truoble finding an electronic dizzy for the P40...

They werent put in them from standard at all, so its aftermarket if anything so u will have to ring up some performance shops.... repco etc wont have them...

Later model GQ dizzy will not fit.

Thanks for the welcome and the dizzy info, is it true that the P40 motor was bought in by Nissan Australia as the Mines thought that the L28 motor was to under powered for them, hence to low amount of motor being only 800.
