Grabbed some pics today of this GQ.. sitting way up in the air and on 44's.. The GQ next to it has a 3 to 4" suspension lift, and a 2" body lift, which should give you an idea of just how big it really is..

Does anyone Know anything about this rig?
It is parked outside Off Track but I saw it at Ultimate Performance on the gold coast during the build up.
would like to see some "action" photos of it if anybody has some!

That thing is out of control. Now I know there is such a thing as too high. Why would anyone ever need that much ground clearance. I would like to see some action shots and see how much it really flexes. Imagine driving it at 120 down the highway!!

I like the bullbar on the white GQ. Has anyone seen those before or is it custom work?

Brett down at On Track bought the GQ like that.. haven't really talked to him about it much as I'm trying to get my car ready.. He uses it to attract attention out the front of the business but doesn't take it anywhere.. and it must work as there's people taking pics of it all the time..

The bullbar on the white GQ was a TJM bar that got a bit damaged.. When they fixed it up, they modified it to what it is now..

I understood it to be a Jap import that EVERY engineer approached said, "Starts with G & ends with D"

Was bought cheap enough to be used as a grabber.........& it works!

From looking at those pics, there doesnt look like there is much ( if any ) castor correction. The diff pinions look straight on angled up......
the shafts are on a **** of an angle...

Me thinks uni's wouldnt last very long

screwy :D

Still runs 3.9's apparently

But as said earlier, it attracts the crowds to the business and that's the important thing.. plus they didn't build it themselves.. It'd need a fair whack of work to be driveable anywhere at speed, but for now it just goes into the workshop, out of the workshop, into the workshop, out of the workshop..

..and yer bump steers a slight problem :grinroll:

That safari was bought over like that and was sitting around at a waterford workshop for a while, then it went to a car yard near bobjane at springwood and now its at on track.. I think the ratio's in the diffs are stock and if you look closely the control arms arent long enough and the axles sit forward at the rear and further back at the front. It would have been ****ed to drive

i saw it quite a lot next to the waterford pub and then the bloke put a for sale sign on it.
i kept meaning to take the camera when i was doing a job there [every month or so] but kept forgetting...
it was there for months until the day i took my camera
next i saw it at "freedom motors" then at "on track"
It certainly grabs your attention 8)

The tie rods on the drag link are just about maxed out. I reckon they'd pop if they tried to flex the LH side down and the RH side up lol.
Still got my attention though even though its just a promo rig. Could be made workable if they wanted to though.

Jesus that shovel must huge, those 797's are the biggest dump truck Cat make. Doesn't look that big next to the shovel.

They run a V24 and from what I have read there is only 2 in Australia.
