Hey well i finally chucken in my lift last night and it looks as though i cant get my sway bars back on :( like there is a good 2.5 inch gap before i could put it on. any ideas? also is now when i go over bump at the rear i can here a sorta of clunk clunk noise. i think this is teh sway bar moving? or is it the fact the sway bar isnt in?

thanks in advance.

Clunk is not very helpful It could be a hundred things. Perhaps your panhard bushes are worn and the lift just pushed them to the brink.

I have a GU and with 3" lift my sway bars bolt back up fine however I think an extention on the down links would help them work better, and let the suspention flex more.

Bump clunk is more often than not panhard bushes in my experience.

if you wish to keep your sway bars on you get extedned pins from ARB.. There a Whiteline product and are about $60 i think.

Hey they look neat. ARB stockists should push those when they sell you a lift kit.
Looks like it could be easily welded onto a factory swaybar disconnect too. If you have steel and bolts on hand you can space down the plates the standard linkages bolt to.

I've also lifted mine about 3 inches, and discovered my rear brakes are doing next to nothing because I didn't think (and no-one told me) to adjust the Brake load sensing valve.

I presume at standard height the panhard rod should be level, so I'm going to try extending the linkage by the same height as the difference between the panhard rod bushes

Coils might not be seated in properly, did you put the rubber insulators back in?also takes awhile for suspension to settle...Paul
swaybar links look good...

Hey, do you need to adjust the rear brake pressure valve if you put a 2 inch lift in?????

This could explain a few things....

Swaybars look good in the shed against the wall :)

Wish I could find extended links for my GU for $60, one snapped on RHS... most kits I found are $200+

Why are the disconnects SO much more than the extensions, there isnt that much more to them.. + the bitch factor of refitting the disconnects after a day's play in muddy crap.

Was looking at snake disconnects myself, and found a bloke who goes by suspension stuff (.com.au) on the web, Brissy I think, did them for $170 to my door..
Very helpful, put the order in yesterday, so have yet to turn up, but will post if I have any problems...

Only heard bad things about quick disconnects. They are hard to do when covered in mud etc and most people stop bothering after the first few times. I would take bars off all together or just get or make some longer mounts i went chuck the sway bars away.

I don't know if you should do this, but I just had mine lengthed at the rear by 3" and the front by around 1.5" as they attach to the radius arms and when I want for flex offroad I just unbolt one pin from the swaybars and I get a lot for flex. All I have to do is undo two bolts and I have to swaybars. Sometimes I can be bothered reattaching before going back onroad, or just after I have cleaned the threads.
