304 holden efi into GQ power steer question

Hey guys im in the process of fitting a 304 into my GQ, my question is will the commodore power steering pump work with the GQ or GU in my case, steering box or will i have to adapt the nissan pump to the engine, thanks in advance, cheers

i cant see any real reason why the dunnydore pump wouldnt work long as the lines are hooked up in the right direction and you have high pressure lines where needed.

The commy power steer will work you will just have to get new hoses made,I ended up using the patrol one because the commy wouldn't fit hit the steering box ,some boxes are bigger than others, so some hit and some don't,the kit from Marks gives you new braket to suit,new double pulley for alt. ,new belt to suit,so hoses went straight back on ,also mine was a petrol one too,just have to figure out the air cleaner now though,I'm running a pod one at the moment, hope this helps

Thanks mate i will look how much clearance when the box goes back in, if it hits i will cough up for the marks kit, cheers
