Well, It's not really a conversion but an upgrade using factory parts.
My Patrol left the factory with the "Pov pack". Eg. Vinyl floor, crappy dash, wind up windows etc. After scoring a 4 guage dash on e bay for $40 and fitting the sender from a mates truck (he went v8 and didnt need it, it was working, wires are still connected at the back)the oil perssure guage wont move and the oil light stays on (dim, but on) Yes, i checked the oil. I put the power wire on the sender to the old oil light wire and the black to a sump bolt( it says that the wire goes to earth in the manual). Do i need to earth the sender to the dash? Any ideas?
