View Full Version : GQ CV Socket
On the weekend, I used an 80 Series CV socket (apparently) to remove the nuts for the CV.. So I headed out today before switching my other CV to grab one, and noticed it looked at tad small at 54mm.. The guy says all patrol ones are 56mm, but I bought it anyway as he said some are different and I might be one of the lucky ones.. Well it was too small, so I went to town with the chisel to get it on/off.. Bugged if I know how we used an 80 Series one on the other side.. Anyways, does anybody know where I can buy a 56mm socket to suit so I don't destroy the nut any further - apart from Nissan that is.. I don't really feel like paying $80/90 for one..

change them to GU type and you can do them up by hand with a screwdriver in a hole...just wind it on then secure with second plate and two small screws.

I have a socket that you can use if you want. I won't need it for a while (I hope) It's one that I have made up years ago. It hasn't failed me yet . Give me a call or email me.
