G'day guys,

I'm looking for some good 4wding around the Noosa area and/or hinterland. Does anybody know some good tracks that they are willing to share??

Cheers :driving:

mate i was in noosa not long ago and i advise you to stay away from noosa bushlands. If you get caught in there now since they closed the gates you will be up for a big fine. Have you done the beach to DIP. Pretty simple but its a bit of fun. And also http://www.landcruisermountainpark.com.au/ is a good place.

along the highway on the way to brissy near glasshouse mountains etc is good, very muddy and wet. will need recovery gear or another vechile.

G'day Mate,

thanks for that. I do know a few tracks around the back of Beerwah in the state forests out there and they make some good driving. Yes they will be nice and slippery now with all that rain..........recovery, last time I was out there spent the day behind a Cruiser dragging him out.......typical :ahah:

As for Noosa, thanks but I wouldn't be looking to head down gated tracks anyways, that only gets the locals offside if you do get caught. Cruiser park is a god alternative, but was looking for something a little closer for a quicker trip :driving: Cheers

Heaps around there, have you gone to Harry's Hut or Kings Bore Road going up there on Sunday or Mooloolah SF, Dalarcha SF. Have you talked to any of the 4WD Clubs up there, they always know the best spots to go to and they get access to the gated areas from QNPWS

G'day Troll,

thanks heaps for those locations, I'll have a look and see what they are like. No, I haven't spoken to any of the 4wd clubs up here as yet, but it might be time to have a chat to one of them and possibly join up. The only trouble for me with the club scene is a really hate committees, particularly those that are made up of D*&k heads with nothing better to do with their time...............if you know what I mean.

However, I will have a chat to one of them and see where I head. Again thanks very much for the locations.

Cheers :driving:

Just do the trips and the camping weekends and have fun and leave the BS to the DH's, that's why I joined one.
Try the Dirty Weekends book for some easy stuff around the sunny coast and north to Bundy, that will take you past some other areas you might like to explore at a later date.

G'day again Troll,

how did you go on the weekend? I was wondering if you could give me some directions to Kings Bore Road as we are looking to do some exploring next week Monday or Tuesday hopefully.

Thanks :driving:
