Hi Quick questions
When did carby stop and injection begin?
When did the front brakes change?
When was ABS first in the gq?
When did the rear lights go into the rear bar?
Thanks:cool:

Not certain but:
injection in 1993
Brakes and ABS I am not sure
Lights in the bumper in 1990-1991 (my 89 has them on the rear quarters and my daughter's 91 mav has them in the bar)

-Rear lights went in the rear bar for MY91 models along with indicators in the quarter panels to adhere to ADR changes.
-ABS was never fitted to Aussie delivered GQ's. Although I wouldn't be suprised if a few did make it through, same with airbags (these were options for markets other than ours).
-Front brakes for 4.2 carby and 4.2 diesel should all be the same. EFi 4.2 models have larger twin piston calipers. 2.8L TD and 3.0L Petrol I don't know but from my wreckering the 3.0L and 2.8 TD brakes are probably different again. Series 1 and 2 4.2D and 4.2carby can have slightly different appearances on the brakes (well, i've observed this at the wreckers)
-EFI came with series 2 for MY92 models. Carby continued in lower grade models and SWB (SWB was discontinued in 94).
-MY94 models, still series 2, had different grille/front indicators and cornering lamps fitted as well as different radiators (moved to alloy instead of copper/brass units in earlier models).
Note: MY stands for model year. For nissan, the next model year usually starts production in around August/september, so it is possible to have a 93 built & complied MY94 and '90 built & complied MY91 etc.
i could be wrong on a few things like the brakes, but thats what i found when figuring it all out!
