This thread is to chart problems people have had with their GQ's and Mavericks so we all know what to look for/expect as they get on in km's.. If you could include the following info it would be appreciated:

Month & Year of Build:
Engine Type:
Body Type (Wagon etc):
Current Mileage:
Auto or Manual:

Then include the problems you have had, and the approx milage you had done when the problem occured.. If it was self inflicted - e.g. you broke a CV after you jumped it 20m - please also note that it was self inflicted.. If it was replaced under warranty please advise this also..

Example:
60,000km: Replaced clutch
65,000km: Cracked Head
70,000km: Busted CV (Self Inflicted)

After we've collected responses for a while, I'll chart it out properly as a quick guide for everyone..

No chit chat please - just start up another thread if you wish to discuss something of note from here..

problems? i own a GQ not a toyota

sorry i had too!

umm lets see all at around the 210 to 230k mark in a 90' TD42

water pump, alternator, starter motor, clutch master cylinder, and the most recent injector pump leak  (f#@*k) so i thought ill go the injectors as well while i was there. and rebuilt swivel hubs. this was all fair wear and tear.

self inflicted was one broken exhaust mount. which is what happens when a bloody tojo driver gets his ass behind the wheel and lands it on top of a sand dune

230000K - Replaced Auto hubs with manual ones when 1 of the auto hubs died and Nissan wanted nearly $700 ea. Got manuals from wreckers $190 pair
240000k - Refurbished Diesel pump, tweeked turbo, new injectors, installed safari snorkel, installed larger exhaust. Then dynoed, gave me 25% more power
270000 - About to do pins or whatever else is needed in bonnet hinge to stop bad rattle.

Have heaps of rattles etc that have continuously repaired.

Addition. Just hit 180K re-padded front seats, better than new ones now.
Also, remembered that I had timing belt done at about 230K. Also, traded the crappy B/Stone duelers in at about 250K and got Coopers AT Discoverers and they are like chalk and cheese.
