Has anyone got these panhard rods at all? If so are they any good? Seems like a pretty good price for the pair. I notice they are solid instead of hollow. Does that really offer any extra strength?

They look ok, and come in Gal now.. could be worth the risk, but then what are whiteline, or superior ones worth?
from another thread in DYI section
hollow bar or tube with a decent wall section is stronger than solid rod due to the surface area.

Yeah I thought that was the case with the solid bar thing. The superior rods are 275 each. So a fair bit of saving. I reckon the solid rods would be stronger than the standard ones but I guess its a risk of whether they are strong enough. I haven't bent my stock ones but they need to be longer.

cut the stock ones and weld in section to lengthen them, then sleeve it.

Not quite right.....
In engineering terms, when a beam (in this case the rod) is put into bending (ie you land on it) the outer fibres are taking the majority of the load.
If the outer diameters where the same then the bar would be slightly stonger.
This would make the part very heavy though, so the fix is to increase the outer diameter of the tube to compensate. It also has the added advantage of weldability as the section of the tube would be similar to the section which holds your bushes.

Hey guys
Has anyone got these on their truck, they look stronger than the factory ones but are they going to be too heavy, been a solid bar, in a way that they affect the steering etc?
But for the price its a faily good deal

I've had these for around 3 months I think they are great. No issues with steering etc. Had them checked out by a few different people and all seem really impressed with them. including the engineer building my rock slides etc. Great value for money.

They're good, had them on for a year or so. Come with crap urethane bushes- took them a while to go though; rear one is clapped out as of a week ago since my last off road excursion.

Good to c a few boys have them on their truck and no1 has broke them yet, i can live with crap bushes just as long as the build quality is good which by the sounds of things they are!!!
Cheers
