Hi I am new here
I have a 93 patrol Tray, Coils all round and looking to put either 33's or 35's on, what would be the best diff ratio to fit for either tyres ?, it is a standard GQ 4.2 Diesel with a 4'' Spring lift any help would be Great

you should have 4.1 diffs in it which will be fine for 33's but if you want to run 35's you should use 4.6 diffs which will bring your gearing back to standard.

Sorry to revive an old thread...

I'm currently running on 33's & 4.11 stock gearings which will be upgraded in a couple of months.

Do you guys think or know that 4.6 will suffice for 35? Or should I go for 4.88 which is also available for the same price?

4.625's will bring your gearing back to normal with 35's and the 4.88's will give you more reduction, therefore more usable power but will rev around 3000 at 100kmh. so it depends on what your using it for.

GQ will be used mainly on 60%-city, 10%highway, 30%trails.

What do you mean by power? HP rating or engine torque? I sure could use more grunt on my TD42 which lacks low gear range.
