Hi All,

I am about to purchase some muddies for my 91 Patrol (auto). Just wondering if it is worth buying anything bigger than 33inch. I have been told that the car will be very sluggish with anything bigger than 33. I will be running them as a 2nd set when I go bush.
The diff ratios are standard.

Thanks

Jase

I was told not to go bigger than 33" as the auto has a tough time turnng them over and bring the car to a stop. Also the next size up from what i have heard is 35" and that would be to big you need a manual or the reduction gears in the auto mate.

I Have A Gq Auto And Run It On 35's It Is Sluggish But Not To Bad Once It Gets Up And Running Its Ok, The Only Problem With It Is It Loves The Petrol.

The guys in the club recon anything over 33 and you have to start looking at your brakes.
