Hi,
I have a 1993 GQ Patrol. When I turn off the engine, sometimes there is a heavy thump from the engine. Sounds like the engine hitting hard in the engine mounts. Any ideas? The engine mounts were replaced 8 months ago with brand new ones.
ITS A FORD NOT A NISSAN

93 model have your injectors been done since then. As when they get tied they dribble low pressure fuel after being turned off and will make the engine rattle around a bit before stopping, if you have a few injectors doing this then the noises can be a bit strange.

Check your LH engine mount, its most likely to have broken again.
My commodore used to do this.....was the harmonic balancer. It was totally stuffed as the rubber was sheared off the metal which let it spin half a turn
