suspension lift question

Hey Guys, i don't know whether this is a stupid question or not but does a 2" suspension lift also give the body another 2 inches further from the ground..so if you were to add 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift it would lift the body by 4" or thereabouts

a 2 inch body lift does just that but a 2 inch suspension lift may not give you the exact lift if the springs are not rated correctly to the weight of the accessories fitted. ie bull bars, batteries, fuel tanks etc.
