I am replacing my Kelly AWR tyres (31/10.5) on my '92 GQ diesel, worn them out. Cant buy them anymore here, so have been recommended both the above brands for my use which is mainly highway driving (some offroad/sand)pulling a trailer/van. Have heard varying reports (some good, some very bad) about the Coopers wear qualities, especially with towing. Any ideas please would be appreciated.:D

The Mickey Thompsom ATZ should do the trick, try this link

Mate I had cooper sts on my GQ and found them good. Large block pattern did not pick up rocks. Good wearing. THe rocks cut them up a bit. A little slippery in wet.

Got BFGs this time on my GU becuase they have a good name and a bit cheaper than coopers. I have not done many k's yet but I do notice they pick up a lot of stones in the tread because of the small blocks.

When I was getting them fitted I was shown a new tyre called Eldarado made in the copper factory in the states. It looked OK and a bit cheaper too. It might be worth considering.

Cheers
