View Full Version : SWB Maverick lift
I just bought a 91 SWB petrol maverick. It's my first Nissan and I'm after some tips as I am relatively unfamiliar with them yet. For a budget lift can I do a 3" body lift combined with 2" suspension lift and 35" tyres"? Will the 3" body lift be enough to clear 35's without cutting the guards? My aim ist to get some height while avoiding cardan joints, castor issues, diff angles etc, and have some money left over to go towards lockers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I fitted a 50mm suspension and 50mm body lift. I run 34 JT2's without rubbing. I did have to replace the factory flares with flexy flares.

Mines got 2inch bodylift and 3-4 inch suspension lift in mine. As blkmav said, need original flares removed. My 35 M/Ts scrape the rear of the back guards, but my 35 (closer to 34s) centipedes don't. So its fairly close. If your not going to trim guards and willing to run the rubber flares, 34s are the way to go. Otherwise raising the rear bump stops a bit is sometimes enough to stop the rubbing. You can put a spacer in the front arms to clear the 35s no probs.

just stay with 3" suspension lift and 2" body lift to run 35s as thats what most people do. i basically run 36s with 2" suspension lift and 2" body lift but required guard cutting. also you might need to fit radium arm spacers to the front to move the axle forward.
not sure where you are

If in QLD be aware that QLD Transport will only approve a 2" body lift
Cheers MEX :D
