There is a pully driven vac pump but havnt seen one yet. Probably the easiest opion is finding another alt about 60-70amps and make a bracket to fit the engine and run wire it up to a 2nd batt and use this for lights.

The gear driven pump can be fitted but it is alot of expense. As you need the whole front of the motor I think.

Getting a second alternator is a good idea. Mine was on the blink so when i took it apart to rebuild it I also had the windings rewound which has given it a little more punch. Just another option to think about.

was a bit fiddly but straight forward, worst part was getting it into the space cos i had to start at the other side and slide it across.
sorry no pics

I rebuilt mine myself. It was a little while ago but I think a new regulator was about $20, new rectifier the same roughly. All new bearings and brushes about another 40. I then took the armature windings to the motor rewind place for about $120 he beefed it up by about 20 or so amps. I picked it up put it all back together and then took it to work to get sandblasted. Don't get ripped off paying someone to do it for you. Grover unless you had the windings rewound i don't know how they boosted its performance, seems unlikely. A lot of places won't even replace brushes, they'll just sand back the ones already in there. Make sure to give the slip rings a bit of clean up with sand paper or if you have access to one a lathe is good for it too, be careful not to take too much off. Its an easy job to do.
