Everkool fridge/freezer @ Rays Outdoor

I have an 80L Waco but was looking at one of these. Evakool RV Fridge Freezer - 35L - Rays Outdoors Any opinions on them, waste of money or good buy?

I just picked up the BCF junk mail and they have the same unit for that price but with a bonus carry bag, better deal..I'd also be interested in some opinions about them too.

cheers.

I have had the 60 ltr rv by evakool for a yr and found it quite solid. but is either fridge or freezer not both at same time. paid 900 for it with a bonus 1kva generator. pic of it in its bag in rear on slide.http://www.raysoutdoors.com.au/onlin...=1021966#Cross also runs of battery 105ah in back for 5 days. cools quickly and has turbo cool switch.

They look like an older model Engle, I had a look inside and it didn't have a divider, but if the compressor is a good one and warranty is ok it could be a great second fridge. I'm getting older and find the Waco is a bit heavy for short trips. BCF looks the way to go.

rays is cheaper for the 35 ltr rv

BCF have them for the same price with a bag on sale 27th. Look the goods. Just would like a reliable second fridge freezer that is lighter and easier for me to chuck in the truck.

BTW guys: Rays, BCF & Supercreep all owned by the same company: Supergroup.
I trucked their goods daily from the train yard here in Forrestfield to the distribution WH up the road.
So prices should be somewhat the same.
Cheers.

Hmm I'm looking around for an 80l fridge. I have a 50l but need more room for drinks.

Maybe one of these as a second fridge in the camper is a better idea

A proper fridge with a proper separate freezer like mine has no problems storing beer and the like. I just put a 4 cans on top of the freezer section and any females that trail along behind you can have the fridge for there food and stuff.

Got some good feedback from another forum. Will be down at BCF on 27th to get one. :p Apparently you use them as either a fridge or freezer.

The way I read it BCF is giving away a bonus solar kit and cover worth $599 with every 60L or 80L Evakool.

EVAKOOL 60L RV FRIDGE FREEZER BONUS SOLAR PANEL - BCF

Evapower Solar Panel Kit - BCF

That's a good deal! How long does it run for?

I couldn't see a time frame on it.

Went to show the old man this deal today, it's expired :-(
Shouldn't have waited!

100 watt of solar panel worth $600 , Christ I got 120 watt hooked up for $150, much happier. Different I guess if it's for free.

Went down to BCF this morning, only had 2 in stock, both shop soiled, one was missing cords and instructions. Picked the best looking one and proceeded to the check out. They had to order a bag for it. Plugged it in at home and it appears all good. Will change the Merritt plug for an Anderson plug later. Dropped the temperature from 22 to -10 in about 20 minutes. Should be a good alternative to the Waeco for short trips. :D

Yeah of course. I paid about the same for a 140W set, but a cover and solar panel kit thrown is a great deal nevertheless.

I've always intended to grab an Engel, my family has been using them since the 70s with all the legendary reliability you hear about, the above offer seemed too good to refuse though, want to get a solar set up though for the Kimberly trip, ran a mates 60l in karijini in the back of my Ute, temps were hot and my tray builds up some seriously intense heat so it was working very hard, unfortunately my yellowtop deep cycle couldn't keep up for a whole day
