Default The Family Grenade

So as of yesterday i joined the Grenade Ranks

2004 Gu st-l
Motor just been replaced. Bottom end done about 140k top end all new.
Alloy radiator, upgraded intercooler.
Egr meant to be blocked off but will confirm that.
Boost guage and egt guage
Though boost guage is bit faulty....but bloke gave me 2 spare ones to replace it.

3" tough coils with 4" efs shocks.....might drop her down to 2" maybe.......dont need this rig being too high.

3" exhaust
Chipped
Dual batts
Eletric trailer brake thingy
Bir red light bar

Shes nice to drive. No power house but does the job.

And yes the old GQ is staying....that'll keep doing the weekend trips on the harder tracks and comps.
Leaving the gu for family duties and bit of touring

Basically bought the gu as needed 6 seater to fit gf and her kids in too and being able to all get out together.

I might even have a spare grenade sticker for the back window if you like, I'll donate it if I can find it

BTW, If the cooling system has been looked after I wouldn't worry to much about it. Mines got 319,000k and 3 lots of fluid on it.

He was asking 12k but was pretty set in his price. .he did say he was originally asking 14k
Dont think he really wanted to sell as you could see bit of a tear in his eye as getting ready to leave.
He explained due to his wife getting sick he had to sell to pay for medical fees

Only hours into owning the patrol and the first issue arises.
Drivers door wouldnt lock.

So out came the tools.
First i just tried crc but nope.
Fiddled with it for a while before biting the bullet and removed the locking mechanism.

Turned out to be a spring in mechanism had come off.
Quick search on forum and removed spring.
Problem solved.

Good way to start new relationship with new car.....getting all dirty with it

I believe I'm having the same issue with Scrawni's wagon we just sold!!!

It was locking fine, then after re-fitting the door barrel and hooking it back up it stopped locking!!!!

Is the mechanism screwed? or what do you do? Pm to stop thread spam

Happy to post on here
Basically the mechanism had started coming apart so the spring dislodged

This little bugger was the cause
Occasionally it might need 2nd flick of key to lock door.
Sorry dont have pics as i went was getting late and just wanted it sorted haha
