Default Mavtroll v4.8

I was always going to build myself a play Ute, however the missus decided she wanted kids so i was dutifully informed that i needed to get rid of the Ute and get something more family friendly.

Ended up doing a swap for a well looked after series 4 4.8 wagon.

At the moment it's got the basics
3" lift
All superior front end
Mcc rear bar
Drawers
Winch.
4.1 diff gears

Going to slowly turn it into a bit of a toy/ tourer/ tow vehicle/ family bus.

First on the list is sliders and i will go from there

Nice one Shannon. I've been looking at 4.8 GUs too... what are your thoughts on the motor?

Interesting, you can pick them up reasonably cheaply as well, of course you have seen the vid of the 4.8 blowing off the Lamborghini? Lololol.

Because supacentre is so cheap. I just had to buy a couple of light bars - 42 inch for the front and 32 inch for a reversing light...

Pictures don't do the brightness justice!

32" reverse light? Damn haha. i have a spare 30", maybe I should throw that up the back too?
The lightbars of any brand put out a ton of light though hey, they're great.

I've always been suss on light bars of quality vs cost.
I finally bit the bullet and got one from 'BAP offroad' (there was a fb link..lol) it's a Phillips brand 26" thing with spread leds on the side 100mm and the middle section is for more directional leds. Fark me the thing works unreal! And was only 150 or something.

I did. He hasn't wronged me in any way so i figure i have nothing to lose by giving him a chance. Nobody has ever questioned the quality of his work and at the end of the day i am far more worried about that than i am about timeframe.

I have taken into consideration other peoples concerns and issues raised

The way i see it is 3 of these are going to be equal in light to something 10x the price, and i can buy a loot of cheapies if they break and still be ahead

Not to mention if they get flogged you won't be breaking the bank to replace them.

Yep what they said ^^^
We had a presentation / training session with Hella a couple of weeks back regarding their lights. No question they are very good quality, structurally and light output. We were frequently reminded about certain products in their range being used throughout the mining industry. Now that's all well and good, but we don't all have the unlimited budget of mining companies.
