Here ya go mate, keep in mind my standard shackles sat basically at 90degrees, think it's the springs, I needa take a few leafs out

Looking at the left hand side leaf pack, you have way too much arc in the pack. Yes I know that is how you easily get a few inches lift, but it is the main cause if the angle problem (and a harsh ride). The biggest issue off course is that what leave packs like that is that all the travel is upwards, none downwards because of the natural arch.
So liberate some more travel downwards by flattening out the leave packs. I used to measure mine after bending to about 8 cm from the middle of the pack to a bar across the shackle mounts (no load). My angle used to be around 15 degrees out from centre.
You will have an amazing smooth ride and both lots of up and down articulation. I still have my leave pack bending rig, but I think you are a bit far away...

Tell us a bit about the bending rig. My leafs run perfectly flat front and back, but of course I am not running MQ leafs.

The rig is somewhere under a lot of stuff in the shed. Basically it is a 30t bottle jack between 2 posts. The bending procedure is what is more important. I have posted the details somewhere on a forum years ago... will see if I can find it

I would be interested to read that if you could find it. Abcab what springs are you running? I have heard of people using 60 series springs.

I am not really qualified to be on this thread because my rig is not a MQ. I have the MQ H260 rear and C200 front diffs/axles under a Hardbody SUV.

Running Hardbody rear springs with an additional blade to carry the 2.7TD motor that made the standard one tonner springs bend backwards

I'm just not getting the flex out of the springs and wondering if its not going to be better to just go three link later.

Its all still work in progress with the rear diff hopefully going in next week when I got some time off work and the rig can be taken off the road for a few days.

What leaves are you running?
I took the lowest leaf out of my dobinsons packs, lost about 10mm lift but gained a bit of flex and ride quality.

There the heavy duty 'rock crawler' leafs, supposed to lift it around 45mm, I got the hd ones as I usually have dual batteries and a winch with steel Cable, thinking of taking one of the middle leafs out

The shorter the leaf, the stiffer it is.
Each leaf in the pack directly affects the stiffness of the ones around it, so if you only want to soften a little, take a middle one out, if you want to soften more then take the bottom leaf out.

My leaves are heavy duty, I have dual batts and even with me sitting on the bullbar with the bottom leaf out, my weight (73kg) doesn't make a really noticeable difference to height.

I can jump on the front of mine and it barely moves (69kg) bloody rough off-road too

Took off my broken radio mast to see what I could do with it. Anyone find a good replacement? Factory ones are not available anymore apparently.

I believe I still have a good one , not sure if it is viable to send it up you . I would say there would be other models that run the same aerial ( radio mast )

I would say it would be a pretty common item on nissans of that vintage . I know he patrols are he same or very close
