home made battery tray,
old 800cca battery relay and a few wires (lying around) getting an auto elec mate to wire it all up (case of beer) - i helped hime drink it though !!! works a treat. big test will be in the middle of the year when i get the fridge to run off it. in jan at fraser it ran the laptop and phone chargers and camera chargers each night.

Been using Redarc's for 7 years, and never had a problem. We took a spare Redarc with us on our recent journey across Oz for 10 mths just incase it **** itself, ( but didn't) I'm not an auto elec, myself, but the Redarc is much easier to replace, than a full electronic version of something similar i think.

Hi all,
i put in the redarc isolator, use a ARB battery tray, did all wiring myself, made my left rear internal access panel into 12 volt panel, so far got the 12 meter and only 1 outlet. but have room for 3 more, when i need em, i'll put em in... can't rush these things

I have two redarc isolators under the bonnet of our's. One for the aux batt and the other for the camper both running through resetable circuit breakers. Wired it all up myself. Been in there now for over a year and still going so must of done something right.

REDARC, done it myself 4B7S cable very easy, ran my engel and light at night for three nights/days on my old century N70 crank batt. for the aux. I was impressed!!! Spelling 4B&S cable.

Y'all
what is the consensus on Aux batteries for dual setup. have installed the redarc isolator and ARB tray. What size are the ARB trays??? i assume they fit the N70 size battery. And what battery do you recommend for running fridge and lights for 2 days (max) at a time. i like the Supercharge branded ALLROUNDER with 760 CCA and 105 a/h but for $285 sounds like a lot. i do want to have CCA power and as large amp hour as possible but like most of us at a more modest price??? any suggestions for CCA / a/h mix??

I have a GSL Electronis Duel Battery system, they are on the net, cheaper than the ones listed & they make & produce most of the ones above. A good unit.

recently changed to a sidewinder dc-dc charger. Much happier. Not as fast to charge as the redarc but a lot better charge

670(i think) cca hybrid battery, ARB battery tray, cole hurse solenoid activated by ignition swith to connect two batteries, installed by me, a sparky frien, also x pres of 4wd club told me this was the best and easiest way to do it..

i got a projecta unit in mine and well probably the most simple thing to wire up ever. just a case of 2 big cables and an earth. can also jumpstart with the push of a button. currently using an exide deep cycle but after the second one has died in a couple of months supercharge alrounder here i come.
also using a arb tray but imo what a piece of junk. its just so big and bulky it makes anything else almost impossible to fit haha.
