Dual Wheel Carrier

I have just had a LRA 147 litre fuel tank fitted to my 92 GQ diesel wagon to replace the original which cracked. The installer informed me that two bolts from the centre of the tow bar could not be replaced as the tank may receive damage from them. A dual wheel carrier is on my list of options to have installed. It got me to thinking , will the tank have to be removed to install the carrier ? and will the carrier fit with the tank ? I live remote and I don't get a chance to look at other vehicles. Also, any advice on which make and model would be appreciated.

the kaymar bar bolts to the outside of the chassis rails and to the factory tow hitch mount so the tank doesnt need to be touched not sure how different brands mount i have just made a bar utilizing all the same mounts, i can take some pics if you need me to

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. I won't need the photos but thanks for offering. I assumed that a rear wheel carrier would fit, but it's nice to get some confirmation. The carriers are expensive so I have to be thorough when planning bits of kit.

I worked out it was cheaper to replace the door 4 or 5 times. but I only need a single carrier.
