navara zd30 problems?

does anyone know if the navara zd30 has the same problems as the patrol and if so were they sorted after 2002 like the patrol as i am buying a 2002 navara tomorrow.

I have heard of about 5 2000 models Navara's that had injection pump issue's, dont know how true the stories are though. Never heard of a issue with the later model's. I got a 2006 model and love it.

from what i have heard on the net, there was problems with some easly ones lunching pistons. however i have yet to hear that any of those where actually serviced properly. there is a few stories of some arriving in garages with dead motors after never having been serviced at all.

seeing as the navara and patrol share the same basic motor i would say the oil problem also existed in the navara. but the navara has less power and no fancy turbo system to screw everything up.
