Thanks for that.
To justify it, well, they no longer make the 4.2td, therefore, hard to get to replace. people are holding onto them longer. sounds good.
Plus need to ask why its gone from $442 last year to $522 this year.

this is from red book this should give idea and add your extras

also you need to consider what an individual will pay at the time you want to sell and what you agree to let it go for

ok now

had a talk to local NRMA office.
agreed value $30,000
will cover:
polyair bags - solar panels - sit in back, not bolted down, to set up outside vehicle - driving lights - tinted windows - side steps - tow bar - bull bar -
cb radio ($1800)

BUT WILL NOT COVER my engel fridge, as it is tied down in back not bolted down.

was told to include fridge in my house contents insurance, so if the vehicle is stolen, i have to pay excess on both vehicle and house to claim fridge.

I will ring NRMA head office next week to ask how one is suppose to bolt a fridge into vehicle to be covered.

TRY

They will cover you for everything and also they will cover you anywhere on Australian soil on or off road, as I think NRMA wont.

i use DGA as well cause they cover all modifications and extras as long as the extras are listed on the policy.. they also do agreed value.. had my first claim with them last month unfortunately due to a roo strike and besides a bit of a delay in getting an assessor out everything went well...

Same same, I had trouble findiung an insurer to bdo agreed value due to my accessories being 20 percent more than the new vehicle price. NRMA and Allianze didn't want to know me. DGA beutiful even itemised accessories including baggage.

Cheers and beers
