Default Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac

Anybody running a set of the new Wrangler Duratracs??

My old MTRs are getting a bit skittish in the wet and I'm looking for something a little more friendly on the black stuff...

Thanks.

Was there any indication on when they would be available? The media release from Goodyear was 7th August so I thought there would be a few around by now.

Thats better than the $390 I was quoted for the old MTRs..

If your in Brisbane and looking for tyres give Big Tread at Capalaba a call, EVERY tyre they quoted me on was $40-$70 cheaper than Fourbys or ACE Tyres.
Yeah ita a bit of a drive but the savings on ONE tyre alone makes it worthwhile.
The only decent tyre shop I have found (that deals with 4wd tyres of AT or more agressive vs HT only) on the North Side is Dog Tyred but a fair bit more expensive.

Just called Big Tread and they don't deal in Goodyear...

Called Fourby's and they have 285s in stock I'm after 33x12.5R15 which he quoted at $355 a corner. I'm going to have to give that some serious thought I think...

i dunno ...they just look like a more opened up A/T ....thats just my opinion ...wouldnt want them on when it got sloppy ...they look like those early cheese cutter grand treks that have then been attacked with a tyre groover

An opened up A/T is exactly what I'm looking for... I try to avoid the sloppy stuff these days... too much time cleaning afterwards!!

Only thing putting me off is the 2 ply sidewalls... from all reports in the US they hold up pretty well on the sharp rocks though...

When I priced tyres recently.. the tyre man said the Toyo MT's were incredibly over priced... he couldnt explain it then.. But I didnt ask either.. (And yes he had a set to sell)

I would say is correct. When I bought my Kumho's I asked about the Toyo's. I nearly fell over when he told me the price. By the reports I have read they are very good though.

Steep compared to my quote, 100 per tyre cheaper than yours
Give Ryano at http://www.fourbys.com.au/ a call
his price on some tyres were cheaper than local here INC freight!

I'd give beaurepairs a call and see if they'll beat K-marts price... cheapest prices I found were from Fourby's and K-mart then called beaurepairs and they beat it by $10 a corner. Beaurepairs initial quote was $379each and I got them for $345...
