Wow dude i know how you feel with the fire scare, i was doing some work on my bullbar when some dodgy as airhorn wiring done by the previous owner short circuited, no fuse meant the whole wire went up in flames, luckily nothing else caught fire though. Never felt so scared of losing the patrol, absolutely gut wrenching

yeah was close rich. a near helpless feeling but didnt give up.

not sure case84. i think mechanically its ok but burnt the trans fluid to black. so tipping orings and seals etc may have been cooked a little. the trans had to come out so might as well strip it for an inspection. hate for it to poo itself 6 months down the road due to something cooked and i didnt bother.

yeah tristan, scared the living daylights out of me.. no fire extinguisher on board either
just my lucky day i had 15 L of water on board and some towels. basically smothered out the fire. it nearly came into the cabin. very thankful to still have the forby!

Bad luck Vince,

I had a R31 Skyline catch on fire 8-10 years ago. Was a basher, nothing we could do but watch it burn, helpless feeling and so glad you could put yours out !!

Would have been such a shame if you lost her.

Steve

while stuff is out getting repaired, some more gauges are needed to keep things in check i think.
so a couple of these

will go in here

via a bit of aluminium machined up to look like this

will anodize them satin black and if there is a market for them.. make a few to sell..
my gauges are the bigger 2" 5/8 but could make them for the smaller ones.

Yeah comes in handy Matt
Case, I am going for a 3kg Co2 extinguisher.
Once I have the first one finished I can give a price.

gauge pod is coming along.. its amazing how much R&D goes into these things even tho they look so simple

natural finish looks good.. but maybe too Blingy? anodized charcoal should look factory like.

I reckon polished with the right gauges would look good too. Darker gauges and the polished outside.

You can purchase films that look like timber, carbon fibre or what ever and it can look how ever you want.

Cheers
