Default My Duramax Gu 4

Hey guys been on here for about 3 years, thought its about time to do a members thread, now that i've got something interesting to show.

Its an 05 series 4 and my duramax project has finally started, thought i'd throw up some teaser pics for ya's. Sorry about the crappy quality iphone pics.

Edit: for anyone who's interested its an lmm DURAMAX.

Awesome work mate, ive been patiently waiting to see someone do this. Does the body lift need to be done to fit the donk or can it be done without that mod?

Yeah it has to be done, its actually more for gearbox clearance I think. That 6sp allison is one big bitch of a gearbox.

Good to see it is underway. Was at Heaths on the wkend checking it out.

Got some more work to do to mine over the christmas break to feed more air....then more power! Got my fully built gearbox in too, so it will handle it. Dont know about the rest of the drivetrain.

I bet you cant wait! Good things come to those who wait hey. At least I wasnt the only one who had the motor for a year! haha.

YES CAN'T WAIT.

I'm considering getting a built gearbox too, do you mind telling me how much your gearbox cost, Heath told me what its worth to do i've just forgotten. Have you figured out what your gonna do for an airbox yet?

Looks great - just a question, is it going to be difficult to mount the dump pipe off that turbo? From the pictures it looks like you couldnt get a toothpick between there!
