I'll probably spend a lot of time talking to myself here.

Hopefully not, the idea is to attract Navara owners as members, we just need to have the right format and people, that is why I'm asking for suggestions to consider and plan a way forward.

I own 5 x 2007 Navs. Staff use them as work Utes. Single cabs, xtra long tubs with Flexiglass canopies on them. They all have the Jap 3Ltr donk in them. Only had one give me grief so far.

This one is the only clean skin, and as you can see gets used for a bit of personal and business use

You don't see many S/Cabs with tubs in Oz... Much more common in other parts of the world. I had three ZD S/Cabs as company cars in the early 00's back in SAF. All were 2WD "Hi-Riders" with rear diff locks. Loved them.

There's a pipe that runs from the back of the exhaust manifold around to the egr valve , someone might of removed that. Shouldn't come loose otherwise.

May be looking at replacing my extended chassis twin cab patrol with a D22 Navara king cab if that's the correct name Nissan used for their extra cabs if I can find one next yr as wife and daughter are not big on camping. I like old school stuff found they made a 3.2 Ltr naturally aspirated diesel yrs ago which would be up my alley. Just done more research maybe the TD27 was a more common motor not sure.

What are those engines like I'm not after big power reliability is more important and wondering what length tray they came with if any one knows. I would be taking the canopy off the troll which is 1800mm x 1800mm and using it on the Navara. I would prefer the king cab over a single so I can make storage draws behind the seat Thanks.

What do you consider reliability through? Simplicity if you need to fix, or something less likely to break down? The later is rarely the case for older vehicles.

Both QD32 and TD27 are horribly underpowered gas guzzlers. Nissan in South Africa replaced the TD27 and QD32 with a non intercooled ZD30 in the D22 around 2000. The ZD with all of 105kW ran rings around these two NA diesels. They were terrible. I once drove a QD D/Cab 4x4 that was completely empty with only me in the car. It could barely hold 100km/h on the highway going uphill.

Nissan SA tried to do a turbo conversion on the TD but their reliability went out the exhaust with a whole bunch of oil.

You’re far better off sticking with a ZD or YD IMO.
