    It looks awesome in the box still, very happy with how shiny it is. Only got the call yesterday to say my engine is ready to pick up, still have to do final assembly and put it in etc etc. Steering damper is very low on the list atm.

    I have spoken to some people in the offroad racing scene, they all run pressure in their king steering dampers, around 80psi. No issues at all when driving, the only time you notice is when you put it up on the hoist that it car push the wheels to one side. But zero difference on the tracks...

    Where did you get your brackets from? Also is that damper set up correctly? Shouldn't it be set up in the middle of the stroke?

    I think Series 2 GQ and GU are panhard to steering arm? Doesn't matter how you do it, eye to eye or pin to pin, I'm more interested in what's better, as well as my original issues with this damper. TJ, where does yours mount?

    No. And I was pissed off when I found that out after I ordered mine. I was never told. But he's offered me the bracket for free that I need, or Bud's Customs do a nice looking bracket kit. I've been told that the panhard to steering arm is a better place to have the damper though? Any...

    Yeah, I thought of that, but I'm not keen on ringing small companies that I don't know just for info. They don't stand to gain any money so it's just wasting their time for my gain and I don't like that. Prefer just to share info with and from you guys :)

    Mine has a different number on top, 767536-02-099. The part number on the box of mine is 980-02-099 Wonder what the difference is? I'm wondering if the 02-099 is the main designation for what it is, and then the 980 is the fittings on the ends and length?

    I just got this reply from FOX in the states "Thanks for supporting Fox. We have not test fitted any scenario with the 980-02-099 steer dampener on a Patrol. This is run as a single shock for the Ford Super-Duty here in the States, they do have a dual stabilizer set up for vehicles to combat...
