Hey Guys, fellow Patrollers !

I'm based in the UK and have a 1998 GR Patrol, which decided to loose it's crank pulley this week. So the classic problem, where the nut holding it comes off, and then the pulley eventually disconnects with the crank, meaning I loose power steering, battery and water pump operation. Got it towed to avoid overheating of the engine.

Now back at my yard, It appears I have to remove the grill and radiator to get to all these belts and the faulty pulley. Whilst doing all this, should I tackle anything else such as timing belts and any other pain in the arse jobs, if I have to strip the front of the car down to fit a new crank pulley?

Cheers
Matt

Just did this last weekend.
You could change the timingbelt and tensioner + crankshaft/Camshaft seals while at it.
