Questions keeping coming up about mods for the 2.8 (eg blocking egr, removing butterfly)

I went 2.5 inch straight through, made a noticeable difference in power (im guessing due to the turbo spooling up quicker)

-Boost gauge install

I've got mine installed now, along with a McNally combo boost/pyro gauge & a Turbosmart boost controller. I know I could have gone for a cheaper boost controller, but I didn't want to stuff around & wait.
I'm still fine tuning the chip & boost. Without the boost controller it would normally go to 12-13PSI but spike to 15PSI if I floored it. I've now got it going to 15PSI under normal acceleration. It still blows a cloud of black smoke when I first take off, but is OK after that. I might wind the chip back a bit more, as it is still idling just a little bit rough. Has everyone else wound theirs back to a perfectly smooth idle or left it a bit higher?

- Donator Speedbox Diesel chip
Ive installed this chip im my patrol, made a big difference in power and torque, reasonably easy to install (involved soldering wires behind the injector pump). One down side, it does make the car smoke a lot more. For the price, its highly recommended.

- Intercooler fan override switch
Ive fitted a switch (mounted in the dash) on the I/C temp sensor that overrides the operation of the fan. Made a bit of a difference in power with the fan on. I usually turn the fan off when doing river crossings etc. One down side to this mod, it logs a fault on the ECU (can be easily cleared with a tool such as ECU Talk)

- Cheap snorkel Pre-air box filter
I was sick and tired of having the air filter blocked up with leaves, bugs and crap after a bush trip. So i cut up a small piece of green shade cloth that fits over the pipe that the snorkel head fits on. This stops all the crap entering the air box (doesn't stop dust but! lol)

- ECU Talk
I purchased the ECU talk cable, and installed it in my car. I'm using a Atom net book to run the ECU talk software. It displays gauges such as water temp, fuel temp, and RPM. also there is the option to view and delete any fault codes logged on the ECU. Also a great Mod
