I have an interesting problem with my Patrol. Due to a leg injury i have not been able to drive my Patrol for over 6 weeks but i did put a battery trickle charger on it to keep all the batteries in good shape.
Yesterday i tried to start her and she wouldnt fire up.
I have great cranking speed, i gave the primer at the fuel filter several pumps felt hard.
So i am i bit stumped to why she will not start?
Could it be glow plug?
Some ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

So you think it's fuel based problem
Crack injector lines one at a time and see if there's fuel going through but how old is the filter?

The filter was only changed 3000ks ago.
Just weird how it worked fine 6 weeks ago.
Might check air filter for water or critters.

I know mechanics will spray a bit of carby cleaner in if a diesel has sat for a while and won't start... if you have some handy

Sounds like air in the fuel system. Try to bleed air out up to the pump. If that doesn't work crack injectors as mentioned earlier

Great idea I'll give it a go a little later might try a bit of starter spray.

Great to hear mate. I remember as an apprentice watching techs empty most of a can into an intake and the flames that came out were amazing 馃榿

A petrol soaked rag will do the same thing if you hold it up to the air intake. Seen it done on a Td42 with a flat battery.

Prolly air in system, crack the banjo bolt on the pump then crank it over till air is gone then it should fire up. Air got in somehow best to check connections and double clamp hoses on suction side.
