put chip in wouldn't start killed pump now going but slow to 1500 rpm then runs normal please help thanks Ian forgot to say now codes

You need to give us more data on the problem, what do you mean by 'killed pump'? do you mean there are 'no codes'? Did this all come about only after the chip went in? what chip? Have moved to DI section.

ok let's see dp chip went in [used] then it wouldn't start it coded don't know code some thing do with injector solenoid changed electric on top of pump know starts and runs but hard to get to 1500 rpm but when it does it runs and drives normal and now no codes thanks Ian

Clear any codes and lets start again, need detail, could be 1 or 2 of a myriad of things, including electrical if there was an issue with the chip.

If it is a slug down low, it sounds like retarded injection timing. Have you got any gauges fitted to it? If you have, what does the boost do when it is sluggish? The pump ecu as far as I'm aware controls injection timing, hopefully fitting that chip that caused the original failure hasn't damaged any wiring between the car ecu and the injection pump ecu...

What chip did you put in ?
Did you respect the wiring ?

Some come with fully pre-cabled dual plugs connecting to the IP, ready to install.
Others don't and you need to cut wires. Then start the problems. Imagine if you cut the timing wire instead of the fuel quantity wire....

Yes you can change the engine but you need to install the loom and ECU, they are totally different.

Doesn't really matter, it's about getting the ancillary gear and what your willing to pay, there is a company up here apparently fitting second hand CRD's to DI's
