Hello, I've just bought myself a 1990 TD42 GQ LWB Hi Roof Safari which I'm planning to setup for touring.

I'm trying to come up with the most cost effective way to run an amplifier. I will be running a 12v 100ah auxiliary battery which will likely be charged by a DC-DC charger of some sort and a solar panel. I can run the amp off this but it will likely drain the battery faster than it can be charged.

I'm wondering what you guys have got in the way of amps in your GQ's.

Cheers

I run 2 amps .2 subs . Let me tell you . I have had many problems keeping it charged . I have a24v so it was going through a reducer/ charger thing . Never could keep up . Was draining faster than it could charge . Finally decided something else had to be done when my battery in the rear started to smell like someone had dropped a fart bomb 馃槀 so I installed a 60amp alternator . Just to charge the aux battery

Kingsroad Safaris had 24 volt subs under the seat....and carbon fiber speakers.
