info wanted have a 3.0litre patrol that when cruising along the highway say at either 80 or 100 it loses power, accelerator pedal goes straight to the floor. If you take your foot off it resets it self and is okay. Has had a new MAF sensor fitted. please help!!!

Sounds exactly like your car is over boosting and then going into limp mode. Lifting your foot off is resetting the ECU.

Once you installed the new MAF, did you disconnect the battery over night to reset the ECU?
Why would you do that? :rolleyes: Has the ECU got some sort of a timer in there so if it is not without a power for x amount of time it will not reset?;)
I heard a good way to speed up ECUs resets is to disconnect B+ cable from the battery and temporary ground it to discharge the capacitors in the ECUs. (Don't quote me on this) I'm not sure how to do this safely on dual batteries setups. I'd guess disconnect both first. Cheers
