has anyone with a 304 gq conversion had any issues with low oil pressure up hill climbs? just wanting to get an idea wether this could be overheating the car up slow hill climbs. it is a 304 from a vr commodore and has a standard sump, pick up and oil pump. Ive heard you can run out of oil up a steep hill climb as the oil moves to the back of the pan away from the pickup?? anyone with experience with this? cheers

Hmmm. Trying to remember. Getting harder each year......sigh.

To fit the 304 into the GQ I'd have thought you would have needed to run a rear bowl sump and pickup out a Hq or similar to avoid the diff smashing it to pieces.

Have you moved the drivetrain back when you did the engine conversion to avoid this?
Are you sure it's original vr sump etc?

When you say low oil pressure......how low?
