Just wondering from people that have hid knowledge, how much brighter are 55w vs 35w ???

Not enough to go out and replace.
I had a 35w ballast die so i decided to try the 55w std and digital versions, replacing the dud ballast first to compare the difference I didn't notice a huge difference between the two.

I've had a 35 HID conversion kit in some Lightforce 170's. changed them to 55w incl bulbs and noticed probably 20% (rough) increase in depth

also had a need to stick on the light blue covers to cut the glare

excellent off road conversion, esp if you go one side long and one side wide

Ive put HID 35w in my patrol and then put 35w HID in a set if IPF driving lights now they are good driving lights day lighters is the brand better than buying new lights..

I could be wrong but with HID the bulb is no different only the ballast? but that's only going off the information i have found so far even though they say 35 & 55W bulbs.

Someone in the know may be able to clear this for us, that would be good. thanks

35's are bright enough for me, any brighter and i won't be able to see past the road signs!

You can do it, but you will shorted the lamps life somewhat, i run 70w ballast with 55w globes in my Adventra
