what increases the revs on the engine when the air con comes on???? mine was idleing about 800rpm but when the air con kicks in it goes to about 1400rpm. so i was adjusting the idle speed down a bit and when the air con kicks in i can see throttle cable pull back??????? so obviously something pulls the cable back and how do you adjust it?

Yep as said theres an acuator on the side of the pump, it is mounted with 2 x 10mm bolts and is adjusted by loosening those 2 bolts and sliding the acuator either way( backwards or forwards) to get the desired rmp when aircon kicks in. Its a ***** of a thing to do, and its best the motor is running when doing it.
thanks guys i traced the vacume hose to an actuator on the firewall and unplugged it until i get a chance to adjust it.
