Was having a look under the bonnet and noticed the accelerator/throttle cable mounted incorrectly. My car is auto transmission.

Went on to rectify it by mounting the bracket in the correct place but then noticed that the cables would meet the throttle control at a very bad angle. Started to make me think maybe this throttle body is not the right one? Did the previous owner do something stupid?

Here are some photos of the throttle body.

Number on top of the body reads RMB70 - 02 F2220H. Can anyone confirm?

Move the throttle support bracket back one bolt and you are sweet

I tried doing that but then my cables are not lining up straight as yours, they would be at a very bad angle. Also I noticed the number on your throttle body is different, don’t know if it’s a model year difference or difference in regional spec.

Had the same thought. Which is why I guessed maybe this is not the correct throttle body? Anyhow, still have to get to it and try again.

Got back to it this week to get photos..
This is with the bracket installed correctly:

As can be seen above, the cables are at an angle and somehow were too tight, far from being adjustable.

So I had to mount the bracket again as before to have enough length on the cables to be adjusted, but still, the angle is quite bad

Any ideas?
