@y b normal ????
That's definitely not normal!
Members here would like to be a part of this whether it be in person or feedback and pics after the run. I follow it and have been a part of it in the past.@y b normal ; @Ethanissan ; @trev zd30
Just use the chat I created the other day and we can add a couple people if required.
I remember one trip with 17 Patrols, a couple of traffic jams but it was all good fun, I remember a wheel being changed on one vehicle while it was half hanging over a jumpup (made it easy to change lol). We can make that thread cover many day trips, if they are all going to be at GHM we can utilise that in the name, been done beefore from memory. Have a chat and let me know what you like and I'll change to suit.Oh yeah whoops, haha sorry @y b normal I didn’t reply to that last one, I did intend to, just forgot after a bit. Yeah I’d definitely be keen on having a scheduled run every so often, I don’t get out enough as it is and it’d be good to go find a few different tracks, not just the ones we usually take. There’s a couple different maps people have made that I’ve had a look at and want to go explore a bit.
So yes, an organised run would be good for sure.
@geeyoutoo are you suggesting we keep using this chat, maybe change the title to suit, so that people can see what’s going on and we can plan for however many people? I understand Andy’s concern for the number of people but we can plan around that, whether it just be having a couple groups or whatever.
Sounds like a good idea anyway, I’m liking it so far.
You can limit to 5, first in best dressed, if someone drops out next in line gets to go.That is all good, except that more than 5 vehicles organised together in glasshouse requires a group permit by wpws laws.
These permits are only granted to registered 4wd clubs.
I know this because I was a member of a club that went to glassy often.
There are all kinds out there sadly but we do learn to 'read' people, it is funny how you get to be able to 'read' people when you read as many posts as I do lol.True, turns messy when someone pulls out the morning of the trip.
No trying to be negative, but I've tried to organise many a glassy trip with people that don't really care about logistics.
One bloke even posted on Facebook the morning of the trip, that he couldn't make it, rather than just txt me....p.i.t.a.... cos I'm not on Facebook.
I started that section, I'm thinking a specific day trip node within that 4x4 forum, ie, the photo comp node I started after talking to a few internationsl 4x4 forum admins, was a complete failure for some reason so I could cancel that put a daytrip section in its place.Their is a trips & trecks section already that I have put up day trips in before & got zero response.
AND, being a patrol forum, you'd expect that someone would be keen.
Plus I like to meet the people instead of just reading posts on a page.

Do others agree?
OK, I'll get onto it now, will take a bit of time to setup.Yep. Give it a go and lets see what happens.....
Lets hope it gets used 👍good to have a specific area for organising day trips.
