G’day Fellow Patrollers

Help needed!!

I have been chasing air con suction pipes for my 2001 GU III 4.8L TI Patrol through Nissan for about 4 Months now. Only to be told they no longer make the pipes any more in Japan. Which I thought was a bit ruff when the Patrol is only 9yrs old.:headwall:
The pipes I’m talking about is the 3\4 pipe or 5\8 pipe that comes out of the air con compressor and then is welded to the other air con pipe that comes out of the fire wall and runs down together under the front passenger floor and then joins to make one pipe before the union. This is for the rear air con. Where the problem lies is that it cracks were the two pipes meet at the weld. Thought of getting it re-welded, But was told that I’ll be chasing my tail as it’s a fracture and it will keep on cracking.
I was told by Nissan that there was an after market one, but that to is no longer been made. So basically I’m stuffed. Has anyone had this problem before, cause I thought of getting a second hand one but it to could have the same problem.
I’m open to any suggestion.

Thanks for your replies guys,
I’ve been away for the Christmas New year break.
You would think they would have to maintain there product for ten years. But not so.
There’s a place in Canberra, called Baxter’s Engineering. I thought I might try.
If I have no luck there I’ll try the guys in Milperra, and if no luck there I give Lokring system.
Many Thanks again, I’ll keep you informed how I get on.

Cheers,
Vince
