OK, so I was trying to make my own app for off road, WOW that **** is harder than it looks, but I did find this app that uses ozf2 and ecw formats. All you do is download the maps you want and it wont use any data, use topo maps and the works. Give it a go and let me know what you think, (my phone is in the shop) I dropped it :headwall:!!
Try this one out Jacket
yozi - Project Hosting on Google Code

D/L the app, then go to http://maps.festy.org/downloads/ozi/VIC/

yozi isn't 'complete' enough to be really usable. It loads maps, but not much else yet.
Try OruxMaps, you'll need to convert any ozi maps you want to Orux's format but that's a once-off job.
It also works with on-line maps.

Also keep an eye on oziexplorer.com - the android version of oziCE is not far off being available.

yeah jacket, should be able to D/L to your pc, then install on your phone, create a folder called maps in your phone in the program folder, then put the D/L maps in there, it's all on the developers page yozi - Project Hosting on Google Code
