hey all, over the past few months the patrol has started making a squeeking noise but only does it underload when accelerating if i touch a bump or the road surface changes!
If cruising at any speed 20-40 not a sound but the second i accelerate and cross a bump or hop in the road its makes a short squeek. It only seems to make the sound up untill about 50km/h that im aware of unless the muddies drown out the squeek haha i can push, pull, hop on the bullbar and nothing so its only under load the sound happens, so yer thats my little story any help would be greatly appreciated as its driving me, the missus and any passengers crazy!!

Try spraying your bonnet hinges with Inox. Works on a GQ.

That might be your rear shaft joints (cardan joints), have you change them??? How many K have you done??? Have you done a river crossing or sand-dust driving lately? I'm not sure if they are serviceable (grease), if so, get them regreased if not just change them.
my two cents...
