just came across the procharge website, they have all sorts of power ups for td42's and other cars, they have a full extreme power up kit which they claim with a suitably built motor has made 220kw and around 1200nm torque. They seem to be pretty cheap when it comes to garret turbos as well, and have lots of different and custom turbo options.Just after any info or experiences thier websit has got me very interested.:D

There would be a few blokes on outers that would have something to say about 220kw from a TD42 for $6500.

I think that figure would be fairly generous for the dollars.
it does specify that on a suitably built motor, 220kws is achievable. so by suitably built id say cam, possible ceramic coated pistons, balanced bottom end, and big big big fuel pump, intercooler. so there you go cost doubled.

that's just the cost for the those parts, you'll still need the rest of the setup ( including a turbo to warrent those parts), plus the original turbo kit. It's not a complete kit, just incremental 'power up' for an existing setup.

You sure they arent 1200 tractive newtons?
220kW for the rev range a TD42 is capable of is more like 700Nm.

"& Over 1200Nm Torque at the Wheels"
yeah thats tractive newtons. Standard DTS kit, decent exhaust and LPG will give you that.

I bet the Kilowatt figures are at the flywheel too. Thats the only way it could possibly add up.
they neglect to mention the special engine build is going to cost $20k. advertising like that breeds distrust between the customer and the business. If theyre shonky eith the performance figures what else is?

what is a "free sritp & Quote"
they dont use an apostrophe properly... page makes them look quite amateur but their business isnt web pages.
