Would anybody be able to give me a rough idea of travel time from Stirling Old town site, haunted stream area, thru to Dargo via engineers rd, baldhead, jones?
I am trying to plan a travel itinerary for a club trip.
Used to live in Bruthen, give yourself 1.5-2.5 hrs from Stirling to Engineers rd, depending on how much you want to explore. At a guess Ide say from Engineers to Dargo another 2 hrs.
I think after the 3rd or 4th crossing after Stirling there is a camp spot on right , walk over river there is a big boiler, behind here there is a mine adit behind ferns. A walk up the hill you will see where the houses used to be. Also just after stirling, 1st crossing take tk on right, about .5km mine adit up hill on left.
I'd allow the best part of a day ,
There's plenty to look at an some of the tracks are pretty ordinary at moment.
There is also a fair bit of road works going on, on Baldhead Rd.
All going well with minimum stops iv'e done the trip in 5 hours.
How long is a piece of string?
How often do you need to stop? EG: do you have kids or a woman with you with a bladded the size of a pea?
Do you wanna take photos?
Do you want a relaxing trip or just drive point A to point B?
