Hope you all have a great Australia Day and celebrate it as best you can with family and friends, this is our very own personalised day, not borrowed from some other country.

If your out driving, drive safely and if your out drinking let someone else do the driving, we want you back here in good shape on Tuesday ;).

Having a cruisy one at home.

Cleaned patrol and reattached the rear dust deflector.

Lost it at 110 at Noonamah a while ago. Not a scratch so some aluminium, epoxy, new tape and some rivets and she's apples.

Drove over to Golden Beach for a look at the break through on upper Bribie, man what a crowd, rain absolutely pouring down and no one cared. Could just make out the break through but couldn't get a pic due to rain, we have had 30mm so far.
I must admit I do get a bit concerned about the Utes driving around with big, multiple, Australian flags, both Red Ensign and Blue Ensign.

Have put a poll up in the poll section on the Jan 26 date, will close in 7 days, interested in whether our regular/general membership wishes to keep that date or drop it (not why).
Work, work, work, work. It never ends.

I dont think its an easy yes or no answer, but i do beleive it is possible to keep the date, but add to it to respect our history.

We dont have to agree with how our history was played out,but we can use it to learn from amd remember the past for what it was.

I believe it can be that simple, I'm only after a yes or no answer without going into the depths of a prolonged conversation. I believe 99% could answer yes or no, maybe isn't really a result. Just about every country has a story to tell on its past, it is something many come to live with but still remember.

Australia Day should be the 1st of January, the day that a bunch of colonies became an independant and unified nation, end of story.

Worked and it should have been left alone in the first place. The last weekend in January a three day weekend. This day off in the middle parts of the week, just chits me off no end.🖕🤬

Harden up young fella, sometimes it arrives on fridays or mondays, just like Anzac Day, Christmas and new year. Working is a privilege, you get to pay tax to feed us poor old pensioners.

Tell me about it.........my wife had to work as well.

I did not really celebrate. Was invited to a gathering but did not go. Listened to a lot of oz music though.

We should IMHO think about a date change. The invasion day protestors can have it all to themselves then.

We have only had a unified Australia wide celebration regardless of what day of the week it is since 1994.

"A more meaningful day is October 24, when in 1889 Sir Henry Parkes, the "Father of Federation", gave his pivotal speech at Tenterfield in NSW, which set the course for federation"
Nope, just make it the last Monday of January as it used to be. 🖕
