I have an 07 auto and the gear shifter button will not release once started, have to use shift lock release button. Moves ok once this is done until you turn off vehicle and you need to repeat sequence, shifts in neutral ok on accessory but wont shift in start mode.
Has anyone come across this before or know what needs to be done or procedure to fix.

Have a look & see if your brake lights work because you have probably blown the brake light fuse

Have you been towing lately because the most common cause of a brake light fuse blowing is a trailer with dodgey wiring

He-he, sounds like Don could have saved someone from running up ya bum too (if you had no brake lights)

Very true, But living in Townsville I would have been safe as every up loves going through red lights up here.......
