I would just like to tell the story of my first time using Fourbys Moorooka.
I have recently just installed adjustable upper & lower control arms in my GQ.
I was after a place that specialised in 4WD suspension/wheel alighnment so I did some seraches and discovered Fourbys at Moorooka. I thought I would travel another 1/2 hour to get some specialist service.
When I first called them up to discuss the matter, the guy on the phone was more interested in confirming a time and felt like he just wanted me off the phone. All I was chasing was about 2 mintes of his time to explain my corncerns.
Anyways, he booked it in for 8am, so I turned up 5 minutes early. I was told to wait around, which I was doing. I had a wonder through their store a coffee in the lounge, and waited and waited and waited.
At 9:20 I asked the gentlemen at the counter when my 4wd was due in, he said five minutes. At 9:45 my car went in the workshop, at about 10:10 I had one of the shop guys come in and tell me abit about what they found, which I really appreciated, he said not long to go. At 10:45 I walk ed back out to the counter where the guy said my 4wd was finished, so I waited for him to get my keys/bill/report. I paid the $75 and he tried to send me on my way. I asked for the report which I always analyse for my own record.
He then said sorry and went back out, only to come strait back in and tell my the printer had died. So he offered to email the report to me. I have him my email and left none to happy.
Come Monday night, no email, still no email, I emailed them through their website which they have declined to respond to.
I just called them up and wasnt alowed to speak to the manager so another guy fielded the call. I told him of my service and he didn't really care and then proceeded to tell my that he will see the guy who did it and get him to email me. I then asked how he was going to do that, seeing as I had not told him my name, car ID, email address or phone number.
I know people who will read this may have their own business and probably say Stiff Sh*T to me but in this day and age where it is getting harder to find spare $$$ to get work done, would you treat your customers like this?

Hi,

Was the work done properly ? That is the main thing I would think. It may be some bad luck on your part also. When you rang they may have had a queue of customers waiting. If the printer was working, you would be happy ? It still takes time to chase up and send a job sheet, maybe swing past one day and see if they can then print it up for you. If the work was done properly, you weren't charged for work that wasn't done or your car damaged you have done better than many. There are many repair shops out there that would give you a scare if you knew how they did stuff.

Regards B M

@Littlejohn - no mate I didn't.....lesson learned :(
I was going to use my usual shop but they don't do alot of 4wds.
Next time I get anything done I will be putting out an advice thread.
When I phoned I got Peter, the same guy I got when I first Phoned. He still didn't want to know much about it. He was going to get back to me with out any Of my contact details....he must be one smart guy.

I've been there about 100x and received fantastic service.

Getting them to call you back is next to impossible. Everytime I go in there the place is overflowing with people and cars so I don't really mind, I just call back.

The workmanship is good. Peter (the scottish bloke) I think he's the manager, he's alright, but yes Rhyno is the bloke you want. he sorts me out everytime.

Workmanship on my car has been nothing lower than 100%

been advised to go there by any post here.
Absolute farken turds for treating you this way. I boil up pretty easy when it comes to

Yeah it was just dissapointing, I emailed them and got nothing as well. I was just looking for a workshop that I could trust to do work as I build up my 4b.
Any other suggestions around Ipswich or south Brisbane?

from what you posted, it sounds like pretty normal service and you are only upset about the report.
does that justify bad service?
i myself are pretty fussy about who lays their hands on my car.. often my workmanship is of a higher quality than a shop.. but the difference is, i can take my time, i don't have jobs lined up out onto the road, as i suspect they do...

The report was the icing on the cake. The first phone call was average, the 8am appointment didn't happen Till 945 and they still left me waiting. Then no report which they were emailing me on Monday, which didn't happen, I emailed them Monday night and still no reply then I call today and they just fobbed me off.... No not just report....bad service. Job done correctly, eventually. I also had on other appointments in the morning, which was 10am. Two hours you would think enough to do wheel alighnment if booked in first up. Well I would have thought so.
Workshops giving bad service really annoys me. Then they will be the first to white they have no customers. You give feedback to them to try help them fix issues they obviously have and then get fobbed off.....sorry for the rant but businesses need to realize that service is what keeps customers.

@Jet-6 all I got done was a 4 wheel, wheel alighnment. It was first time there as I am looking for a workshop to do future work on my gq.
I hope ryno sees it, maybe he can put some things in place which may stop this from happening to another customer of theirs.
